Omak Longhouse, PCB & Mineral Oil Spill

The Colville Tribes Omak Longhouse facility is located at 25B Mission Road, Omak, Washington. On or about July 9, 2015, a stolen out-of-service transformer was reported to have been connected to a truck via chain and pulled along Mission and North End Omak Lake Roads resulting in an intermittent oil discharge to the road surface (asphalt and gravel).  The transformer had a capacity of approximately 25-gallons of mineral oil. Cleanup activities included appropriate removal and disposal of the transformer and oil on affected road surface.
